Hi Bloggers, long time no post. By the way here is my new post about my DAVAO TOUR experience with my bestfriend and my lower batchmates(3rd year college). Actually it is our Educational Trip-Davao Study Tour this activity is a part of our curriculum of CS Tourism that aims to enrich our knowledge of local tourism here in the Philippines. It is my last tour because i'm already 4th yr and since it is a requirement i need to join. I want to share my experience to you, and i would like to show the beautiful places in Davao.

WELCOME TO DAVAO! :)

And finally we arrived at Davao International Airport.

We took some group shots at the Airport.

*After we arrived we went straight to Lon Wah Buddhist Temple our first destination.

The Lon Wa Buddhist Temple also known as Long Hua Temple is the biggest Buddhist temple in Mindanao. A short stopover to this shrine is a worthwhile experience especially for those who are interested in the teachings of Buddhism or for those who simply want to marvel at the temple’s architecture and interiors. There are only few Buddhist temples in the Philippines and visiting one in a predominantly Muslim region was an opportunity that we didn’t want to miss.

*After that we went to Puentespina Orchid Garden

The Puentespina Orchid Garden and Farm is a sprawling, eight-hectare property in Malagos, Baguio District Davao City. At an elevation of 375 meters above sea level, it is the ideal location for growing the most breathtaking Vandas, Dendrobiums, Mokaras, Oncidium Grower Ramsey, and Phalaenopsis, as well as exotic landscape plants. It produces approximately 20,000 dozen sprays of Oncidium Grower Ramsey and 60,000 dozen inflorescences of Dendrobiums.

For individuals and small groups, a minimum purchase of P250 worth of orchids or any ornamental plants entitles entry for the Orchid Farm Toru. For groups of 5 persons or more, an equivalent of P50 minimum purchase of orchids or any ornamental plant entitles one person for the Orchid Farm Tour. The Farm Tour will be scheduled on the day of the plant purchase. If a farm tour is to be availed, a tour ticket will be issued and assigned personnel from the farm will accompany the guest(s). The farm is open for tours from 8am to 4pm daily, except on Sundays as the farm is closed.

*After that we went to Japanese Tunnel

Japanese Tunnel actually seems to be on the edge of the Davao city. Once you start hitting some of the more hilly area west of the city proper, you'll be coming close to the Japanese Tunnel. It basically is a historical location developed into a tourist spot.  This place not only has the tunnel but also a Japanese restaurant and some rooms to stay overnight in.

The Japanese tunnel was created back in World War II era supposedly by Filipino prisoners of war.  The purpose of the tunnel was to be a hideout not only for soldiers but also their belongings.  It has been said that many tunnels were actually dug back then during or soon after the United States took over Davao City.

The actual size of the Japanese tunnel seems to be rather small.  Actually it will extend farther than what you will be able to walk.  Apparently, this particular tunnel is owned by two different owners.  The part of the tunnel that you can not go is at the end with bars blocking the other part.

(After visited those attractions, first we ate at eat all you can. sorry for not taking pictures of the food and place. )

*After eaing we went to Museo Dabawenyo
It would take just 30 to 45 minutes of your time to get to know Davao City’s history and its living culture and traditions at the Museo Dabawenyo.

Museo Dabawenyo was established by the City Government of Davao, through the initiative of the 14th City Council under City Ordinance No. 0266-06, Series of 2006 signed into law by Mayor Rodrigo R. Duterte on November 15, 2006.

It was funded under the Special Education Fund of the Local School Board. The museum was first opened to the public during the 71st Araw ng Dabaw grand opening celebration on March 14, 2008.

(ugh can't take pictures at the Museo because it is their number one rule "We are not allowed to take pictures", but it's fine the whole Museo was interesting you can see many pictures inside.)

*After that we went to Crocodile Park

The Davao Crocodile Park is a major tourist destination located at the Riverfront, Corporate City Diversion Highway, Ma-a, Davao City, and is about 15 to 30 minutes from downtown of the City.
Considered as one of the finest tourist attractions in Davao, Philippines, Davao Crocodile Park boasts thousands of its self-nurtured Crocodiles as well as a wide variety of flora and fauna. It is a home to the tamed wildlife beasts which are nourished and given world-class care. Davao Crocodile Park boasts its one of a kind zoo which housed different animals such as crocodiles, birds, snakes, monkeys among many others.

(An Albino Burmese Phyton considered as one of the six biggest snakes in the world can be found inside the Davao Crocodile Park)

                                 (Ostrich)

(here at tiger's cage you can come and look closer but you will pay 20pesos, it's nice experience even though it has cage you can feel it so near from you, you can see how it moves, etc)

(our professor tried to touched the spider)

(me and my best friend bought some Durian dynamite, actually the smell is so bad but it taste really good!, you should try it)

*At the Bus :) with my best bud! :)

JACK’S Ridge is one of the most popular recreational and dining destinations in Davao City. It sits on top of a high and very steep slope, overlooking the scenic expanse of Davao City and the Gulf of Davao. The place is located on a high mountain slope at Shrine Hills, Matina, Davao City.

The land on which Jack's Ridge now stand once formed part of the headquarter of the retreating Japanese forces towards the end of the World War II. The Americans had landed in Davao on May 1, 1945, forcing the Japanese to beat a path to Matina Hills where they had a commanding view of the Davao Gulf where the American ships were anchored. Fierce fighting soon erupted between the two forces, and as history shown us, the Japanese lost.
